Disney has revealed the first still from long-time production designer Robert Stromberg’s directorial debut Maleficent. Telling the early story of Sleeping Beauty‘s villain, the film stars Angelina Jolie as the titular character, and with production kicking off, we get our first look at Jolie in costume. In what looks to be a stunning costume and some superb make-up work by Rick Baker, this is quite an exciting first glimpse at the production. Co-starring in the film are Sharlto Copley (“District 9”), Elle Fanning (“Super 8”), Sam Riley (“On the Road”), Imelda Staunton (“Vera Drake”), Miranda Richardson (“The Hours”), Juno Temple (“Atonement”) and Lesley Manville (“Secrets & Lies”).
