The film won’t be hitting cinemas for another year but Warner Bros has released two official first look photos from Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby, the 3D adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel. Currently shooting in Sydney (where we have seen photos from the set), these are the first promotional stills for the film, as well as our first look at Joel Edgerton as Tom Buchanan during filming (we saw a head shot when his casting was announced).
The stills feature Carey Mulligan, as Daisy, and Leonardo DiCaprio, as Jay Gatsby, embracing, as well as being joined by Tobey Maguire, as Nick Carraway, and Joel Edgerton, as Tom Buchanan, in sharper attires. The production design and costuming look spot-on and I am looking forward to finally seeing footage of one of the most-anticipated films of next year. With the film also starring Isla Fisher, Callan McAuliffe, Gemma Ward and Jason Clarke, the 3D adaptation is set for release on December 25th, 2012, but you can have a look at the two new stills below!
