Nash Edgerton’s Short Film ‘Bear’ to Screen at Cannes

The short film part of the 'In Competition' selection.

Nash Edgerton’s short film Bear, the follow-up to Spider, will screen at next month’s Cannes Film Festival as part of the ‘In Competition’ selection.

Bear stars Nash Edgerton, Teresa Palmer and Warwick Thornton. The story was co-written by Edgerton and David Michôd, and shot by Adam Arkapaw.

When asked about the film’s selection, Edgerton said: “To be honest, when I got the call I thought someone was pranking me. It’s a huge honor that Bear has been selected and I haven’t stopped smiling. I’ve always wanted to have a film there and I’m just so thankful to everyone who pitched in to help get it made…It’s very exciting and totally surreal that this time next month we’ll be premiering it in competition at Cannes”.

Congratulations to Edgerton on Bear‘s selection at Cannes! Have you seen any of Edgerton’s previous shorts? Take a look at Spider below!
