The Sydney Film Festival has wrapped up with the announcement of the Showtime Movie Channels Audience Awards. An interesting indicator of audience reactions during the festival, audience members were invited to rate each film via a SMS voting system. The winner for Best Narrative Feature went to Philippe Falardeau’s Monsieur Lazhar (read our interview with the director) and the winner for Best Documentary went to Death of a Japanese Salesman.
